Finding this service has been a blessing as a person with chronic illness, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue. However, isolation and struggling to keep up to date with day-to-day activities are challenging, especially when combined with symptoms that disrupt one’s life.

I am incredibly grateful for the work they do. I sat on the floor and cried after the first visit because it was wonderful to know that I can focus on getting my life back. I can testify that their work is done professionally, and I was kept up-to-date throughout the process. Thank you, Joyce, and the team, for your kindness and reaffirming my hope in humanity.

I didn’t feel like asking for help since it made me feel like a fraud, and asking for help was extremely embarrassing, so I suffered alone and in silence for many years. Then, by coincidence, I discovered Grant A Smile, and it has been the nicest thing that has ever happened to my family.

I feel better emotionally knowing that I’m not responsible for cleaning and that I can spend more time with my daughter whenever I’m strong enough. It’s wonderful to know that there is a service available for individuals like me. I’m amazed that somebody would do such a thing for complete strangers.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Grant A Smile team for awarding our smiles.

Grant A Smile is truly making a difference in the lives of those in the community. By offering remarkable support to a large number of young people and their families, it helps alleviate the daily hardships associated with caring for children and dealing with chronic health conditions.

I’d want to emphasise here that Grant A Smile is a one-of-a-kind and unselfish act of love for parents and families that require practical assistance outside of the hospital. I’d like to believe that without the intervention help you provide, many families would struggle to cope with daily life. Poor health can strike at any time, and it’s incredible to know that a charity like Grant A Smile is available to assist.

I am delighted to endorse this social enterprise. This is a genuinely unique service. It is, undoubtedly, a realistic method of addressing the underlying causes of mental breakdown, family conflict, poor behaviour, attendance, and achievement. Contributing to the organisation of these homes entails enhancing the quality of life and overall wellness of families deserving of such assistance.

John Flack MEP (East England)

Mr Flack sits on the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development. He serves as the Regional Development Spokesman for the Conservative Party and is a substitute member of the Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries (PECH).

Grant a smile is a breath of fresh air in the community. Knowing that people care enough to go and support families who otherwise would be left struggling is a blessing.

Thank you Grant a Smile team for keeping the fire of hope alight.

Childhood is supposed to be one of the happiest and most important times in a young person’s life. Therefore, it shouldn’t be about parent’s illness, pain, and hospital visits.
