What Coronavirus means for Grant A Smile

COVID-19 GRANT A SMILE STATEMENT

How we are supporting the elderly and vulnerable children and families through COVID-19.

We firmly believe that our mission can adversely impact and transform the quality of life of the elderly and vulnerable families we support for good. Now more than ever, the skills, passion and expertise of our volunteers and staff are needed to support the families and elderly who are disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

We have taken the steps as a social enterprise to step up, innovate and collaborate to respond to your practical everyday needs:

  • Getting good food out to our targeted families,
  • Shopping
  • Picking up prescriptions
  • Food Parcels
  • Reassurance calls/befriending
  • Emotional support

The Grant A Smile team are working tirelessly to continue the delivery of our goals as a social enterprise in response to COVID 19. Although, our free home cleaning service and other one – one support is suspended. We have re-adjusted our support to meet the immediate needs of families battling chronic health conditions, mental health and recently included the elderly.

Please note that we are committed to providing the emergency home support needed at these unprecedented times.

  • We are here to help you through this crisis; whether you need to talk through a problem or just need a listening ear, shopping or in need of food and basic items at home– let us know the specific challenges you’re facing, or the help you need.
  • All the Grant A Smile team are set up with remote connections and are working from home. The office mobile phone 07735515168 is operational between 10am and 2pm; please ring or email us. Our email address is: admin@grantasmile.org.uk

We will do everything we can to support you now and as we adapt to ‘the new normal’… So. keep in touch!
